Duro Olowu showcased his newest collection for SS 2016 at the London Fashion Week for 2015. The London-based Nigerian designer debuted his first collection in 2005 and was named the British Fashion Awards New Designer of the Year in the same year. He is known in the African & International Fashion Industry as a master of mixing and matching prints. His showcase for the SS 2016 was inspired by the life and work of 1930 Indian painter, Amrita Sher Gil. Duro Olowu uses Amrita’s paintings as the canvas behind the printed pieces in this collection.
